Exercise: Bridge

Objective: Improve stability of the low back and pelvic musculature.

Description: Lean back on a therapy ball with your upper back and shoulders on the ball and your hands interlaced behind your head. Keep your feet spread apart about shoulder's width for stability on the ball.

  • Step One: With your hands interlaced behind your head, lift up your pelvis toward the ceiling, while at the same time lifting your upper back off the therapy ball.
  • Step Two: Hold this position for 5-10 seconds.
  • Step Three: Return to the beginning position and repeat 5-10 times.
