Exercise: Medicine Ball Wall Glides
Objective: Increase tone and strength of the hamstrings, gluteals, and quadriceps muscles (thighs and buttocks).
Description: Stand up straight with your feet together, leaning against a wall, holding the medicine ball between your two hands, arms straight out in front of you. You are now ready to perform the exercise (you can put a therapy ball between your torso and the wall if you want to modify this exerise to include the ball - see pictures).
- Step One: Holding the ball in your outstretched arms, in front of you with both hands, slide down the wall until your knees are at 90-degrees. Remember to keep your arms straight during this execise.
- Step Two: Hold this position for 1-2 seconds.
- Step Three: Slide back up until you are upright once again.
- Step Four: Hold this position for 1-2 seconds.
- Step five Repeat 15-20 times.
